Appearance design: The front of the car looks good, but the rear is a bit controversial
The front of the car is naturally a closed shape that highlights the new energy style. The headlights are L-shaped and extend downwards with a black trim strip, which looks quite sharp.
The logo has been redesigned and is no longer the red flag on fuel vehicles. Personally, I think the original flag is better and more recognizable. Although the current logo is more youthful, it lacks the brand weight of Hongqi.
The length of the car is 4980mm, but because the hood and rear are short, it does not look particularly stretched.
The wheel hub style is a more traditional five-spoke shape, and there is no low wind resistance element. The show car is not a high-end model. The tire specification is 245/50 R18. The high-end model will use 19-inch tires.
The taillights at the rear of the car adopt a through-type design. Personally, I can’t understand the design of the light strip. It’s not simple enough, not modern enough, and it feels a bit too strong.
Interior design: The center console is relatively complicated. Have you ever seen a special-shaped central control screen?
The shape of the center console is not a neat layout. You can see many curves, jumping repeatedly between messy and layered. The color scheme of the interior is quite fresh. Compared with the traditional black or beige, I quite like this light green color.
The shape of the steering wheel is very radical, it has broken away from the circle category and is more like an octagon.
Hongqi EH7 adopts a gear shifting mechanism. Now more and more electric vehicles adopt this form, which can save a lot of space in the central armrest area.
The lighting controls are here, on the left side of the dash, and are touch-operated.
The good news is that the dashboard is fully LCD, but the bad news is that the size is only 6 inches, which is a little smaller than today’s smartphones.
This is the first time I have seen a special-shaped central control screen. The size is 15.5 inches. There is no need to worry about the functions. It has online navigation, online audio and video, dual-zone voice recognition, mobile APP remote control, etc.

Due to the adoption of a gear-shifting method, almost all of the central armrest is used for storage. A suspended storage platform is also designed and integrated with a wireless charging function for mobile phones, which is standard for all series.

The headrest of the main driver’s seat is a bit interesting. It seems to be equipped with an optional headrest speaker. In terms of material, all series are made of leather and have perforation technology. In terms of functions, front row electric adjustment, heating, ventilation and other functions are standard.
The wheelbase of Hongqi EH7 reaches 3000mm, and the rear seating experience is very spacious. Although it is a pure electric car, there is still a certain bulge in the center of the floor, which is a drawback.
Heat pump air conditioning and rear exhaust vents are standard, and there are two different types of charging interfaces below.
Although there is no spare tire, the trunk capacity is not large at 400 liters. The rear seats can be folded down to further expand the space.
Power range: two versions with single and double motors, with a range of up to 820 kilometers
Hongqi EH7 is available in single-motor and dual-motor versions. The former has a maximum power of 253 kW and a maximum torque of 450 N·m, while the latter has a maximum power of 455 kW and a maximum torque of 756 N·m. In terms of zero-to-100 acceleration time, the single-motor version is the fastest at 5.8 seconds, and the dual-motor version is the fastest at 3.5 seconds. In terms of battery life, depending on the battery pack capacity and motor power, there are five types of CLTC battery life: 600 kilometers, 640 kilometers, 690 kilometers, 760 kilometers and 820 kilometers. As for the chassis, Hongqi has also shown sincerity this time, using a front double wishbone + rear five-link suspension form, which can provide better control and vibration filtering effects.
