GAC AION i60 Range-extender SUV (210 km EV / 1240 km combined)

The AION i60 is GAC AION's compact family SUV: 4685 mm long on a 2775 mm wheelbase, five doors and five seats, with a 416 L boot that grows to 967 L with the rear seats folded. Compact outside, cleverly packaged inside, and easy to park in the city.

It uses a range-extender layout: a 1.5L petrol engine generates electricity, while a 180 kW / 280 N·m front motor does the driving through a single-speed reduction gear and front-wheel drive. A 29.165 kWh LFP battery provides 210 km of CLTC electric range and 1240 km combined; 30–80% fast charging takes about 15 minutes, and 92 RON petrol extends the journey.

A closed grille, split headlights and flush door handles keep drag low. Inside are a large central touchscreen, full-digital instruments, GSD L2 driver assistance, a 540° camera view, five-link independent rear suspension, automatic climate control and wireless charging — quiet and smooth like an EV in daily use.

Best as a family's first car for city commuting with occasional long trips, for buyers without reliable home charging who still want electric drive, for ride-hailing, rental and corporate fleets, and for markets in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America where charging networks are still developing.
