MG MG5 1.5T Sport Sedan

The MG5 is SAIC MG's compact sport sedan for younger buyers: 4675 mm long, 1842 mm wide and 2680 mm between the axles. A fastback roofline and low stance give it a sporty presence rare in its class, with five seats and a practical boot.

Two powertrains are offered. The 1.5T turbo produces 133 kW (181 PS) and 285 N·m, driving through a 7-speed wet dual-clutch to the front wheels, reaching 200 km/h at 6.47 L/100km (WLTC). A 1.5L naturally aspirated 129 PS engine with CVT is available for smoother, more economical driving.

A large black grille, sharp headlights, 17-inch wheels and red caliper accents reinforce the sporting look. Inside there is a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital instruments, sport seats, reversing camera, automatic climate control and keyless entry — a strong equipment list for the price.

Best as a first car for young buyers, city commuting, ride-hailing and rental use, a family's second runabout, and export markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa where sporty styling and value matter.
