In the first step, we predict that the start will be good, which is in line with the three points just mentioned by the user. I also believe that Galaxy will definitely be able to take the table andsqueeze into the first camp of the entire new energy market in China.How to develop in the future? First of all, Geely Galaxy will adhere to the strategy of joint development of hybrid + pure electric vehicles.In addition to hybrid products, pure electric products will also continue to develop.In 2024, we have also planned a number of pure electric and hybrid products for launch.This is the product side.
Secondly, in terms of technology, there are several key points that make Geely Galaxy what it is today. The first is the strong R&D capabilities of the entire Geely Group, and the second is the manufacturing capabilities.Many companies produce multiple products in one manufacturing base, which has advantages in quantity, but disadvantages in quality control. In fact, every product, whether before, during or after development, is inseparable from the user's in-depth understanding.As mentioned at the press conference, Galaxy E8 started from scratch and is the result of the collaboration of multiple departments.We have quarrels and collisions every time, such as whether the screen should be 8K or 4K. The cost of 4K is definitely low, and the cost of 8K is definitely high, but the user experience is good.As just shown, the clarity of a 2K, 4K, and 8K picture is very different. In the end, we decided to use 8K because users like it.
Geely has been saying that it wants to build smart premium cars for everyone, which are high-value premium cars. In today's era of high-end cars, if you pay attention to price, you may be biased.What Geely wants to do is not compete on price. Price war is completely contrary to us.We hope to provide everyone with mainstream, smart, and high-value cars in the mainstream market segments and the mainstream mass market.
We have our own considerations in setting this price. It is my ambition to be the first in China at this level.Now China's new energy companies are facing this problem, but there is one thing: scale is very important. After everything is industrialized and scaled, costs will naturally come down.Just like when setting the price, Mr. Yi said it was this price. I said no, but Mr. Yi said yes. I will see if there is any possibility of the technology being reduced further.
At the same time, we also have a very good and large procurement system. Because of its global procurement capabilities, and through L7 and L6, our suppliers believe that Geely Galaxy can increase production.What suppliers are most concerned about is whether they can increase volume. Selling a thousand units a month, selling five thousand units a month, and selling ten thousand units a month are completely different concepts.
Our young people like Chinese culture and Chinese trends very much, and China's confidence is getting higher and higher.I asked Lao Yi at that time whether our Chinese culture could become a world trend, and Lao Yi said yes.He brought several pictures, and I said at the time that this was a world trend. Mr. Yi: You can take a look. It seems that we haven’t called subversion for a long time. Today we mentioned the word subversion again. Why can it be subversive?It means that this pure electric flagship realizes the needs of this group of people.Users have made it very clear that they must sell Chinese pure electricity without any imitation. They want to support Chinese brands, but in the end they feel that they are imitations, which is not acceptable.We need to incorporate the elements and heritage of Chinese culture into the design to achieve many of our ideas. Reporter: Mr. Fan, how do you understand the word "volume", and how do you plan to roll out a moat belonging to the Milky Way?
Mr. Fan:Geely will not engage in price wars, but it is not afraid of price wars.This is a view I have expressed on many occasions.Because if we just fight a price war, the users will be hurt in the end.
Second, why are we not afraid of price wars?The entire Geely Automobile Group has strong R&D capabilities, purchasing capabilities, channel capabilities, and can control costs, so we are not afraid of price wars.What we really advocate is to fight a value war, a service war, and a word-of-mouth war.
After the Galaxy L6 was launched, many teachers asked me how I could compete with other brands’ hybrid products, which cost 99,000 or 89,000 yuan. The Galaxy L6 initially cost more than 110,000 yuan or more than 120,000 yuan.But among the hybrid cars priced between 130,000 and 150,000, we are number one in sales, I think we are number one in user reputation, and user experience is also number one.Geely doesn't want to just focus on price. If the product reaches more than 80,000 or 90,000 yuan, the product experience will not be that good.
