On June 1, 2024, the 20th China Taklimakan International Rally, which lasted for 13 days, came to a successful conclusion. The new BJ40 Taklimakan Grand Prix is equipped with a mature 2.0T turbocharged engine and an 8AT gearbox, with a maximum power of 180 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 395 Nm. The dual redundant linear braking system ensures braking stability and safety during high-intensity off-road driving, and maintains good braking performance even in extreme environments.
The vehicle adopts a front double wishbone independent suspension and a rear multi-link non-independent suspension structure, and with an electronically controlled 4.0-speed transmission, the vehicle is more precise and stable in handling. Under complex road conditions, the vehicle's handling can be effectively guaranteed, improving the driver's confidence and safety.
Here we need to talk about the 4.0 large-ratio clutch in detail. With the chassis tuned for professional off-road scenarios, the suspension travel is enlarged to 160mm, which can better cope with road conditions such as cross axles and shell holes, ensure full contact between the wheels and the ground, and improve passability.
Under cross-axle conditions, the long-travel suspension system can ensure that at least two wheels of the vehicle remain in contact with the ground, providing sufficient driving force and stability.
